Under the auspices of Professor El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, the Board of Directors of the Foreign Language Centers at the University held its regular meeting to discuss the proposal to implement a field training program for students of the Faculty of Languages and Translation at Badr University in Assiut, within the framework of enhancing academic cooperation between universities, and supporting training programs aimed at preparing students and qualifying them for the labor market. This came in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Adawi, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and members of the Council.
Professor. Ahmed El-Menshawy stressed that the centers and units of a special nature represent one of the vital arms of the university in supporting its educational and research mission and serving the community, with its specialized expertise and scientific and training capabilities that contribute to providing quality services that meet the needs of various sectors. He explained that the foreign language centers are a successful model for these centers, because of their active role in developing language skills, spreading linguistic culture, and qualifying students and graduates,
in a way that enhances their ability to compete in the local and regional labor market and international.
The President of the University added that the university is keen to expand its partnerships with universities and educational institutions, in a way that contributes to maximizing the benefit of its academic expertise, and providing training and applied programs that support the building of human competencies and keep pace with the goals of the National Strategy for Higher Education.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Adawi explained that the foreign language centers at Assiut University possess distinguished scientific and training expertise, specialized academic cadres, and capabilities that qualify them to provide high-quality training programs, reflecting the university's leading role in providing advanced educational and training services that serve students, educational institutions and various segments of society.
Dr. Mohamed Adawi pointed out that the meeting reviewed the most prominent activities of foreign language centers during the past period, which included organizing specialized training courses in a number of languages, implementing qualifying programs for students and graduates for the labor market, in addition to holding placement tests.
The Council also discussed the proposed concept of the training program, which aims to provide the opportunity for the students of the Faculty of Languages and Translation at Badr University in Assiut to acquire practical and applied experiences within the foreign language centers at Assiut University, in a way that contributes to developing their language and professional skills, refining their abilities in the fields of translation, communication and foreign languages, and linking academic study with practical application in accordance with the latest educational standards.
The members of the Council also discussed the mechanisms of implementing the program, the proposed time frame for it of (30) training hours, the content of the program, and the bases of student evaluation, in order to ensure the maximum possible benefit and enhance the quality of the training process, while emphasizing the importance of exchanging experiences between university institutions, and supporting academic partnerships that contribute to the development of the university education system and community service.

Directorate of Accounts, Ms. Reham Mahmoud Al-Hefnawi, Director General of the General Administration of the Office of the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Mr. Mohamed Bayoumi, Central Auditor, Mr. Amr Mustafa Mohamed, Planning and Follow-up Specialist at the Russian Center, and Mr. Sameh Alphonse, Financial and Administrative Officer at the English Language Center, Ms. Janet Karam, Educational Aids Specialist at the German Language Center, and Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim Mohamed, Secretary at the French Language Center.
