Cooperation between Assiut University and the Islamic Research Complex to consolidate the system of values and ethics

The program emphasizes the keenness to consolidate the foundations of tolerance and dialogue with the other and the rejection of intolerance and extremism

Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, received on Sunday, October 13, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Malik, Vice President of Al-Azhar University for the Tribal Face, and Dr. Hassan Yahya, Secretary of the Supreme Committee for Islamic Da'wah Affairs at the Islamic Research Complex; as part of their visit to the university; to discuss ways of cooperation and coordination to launch the "Faith and Human Development" program within the participation in the initiative of His Excellency the President of the Republic "A New Beginning for Human Development", in the presence of Prof. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.

The "Faith and Human-Building" program comes within the framework of the cooperation between Assiut University and the General Secretariat of the Islamic Research Complex at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and under the generous patronage of His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and includes several training courses, which establish the foundations of tolerance and dialogue with the other and the rejection of intolerance, extremism and terrorism.

Prof. El-Minshawy stressed the university's keenness to strengthen aspects of cooperation with various universities and educational and religious institutions, appreciating the vital role played by Al-Azhar Al-Sharif as one of the most important beacons and pillars of Islamic thought, and various activities in various scientific, research, religious and cultural fields, and contributing effectively to enriching the public debate on various societal issues, and upholding the values of citizenship, freedom, and social and cultural diversity.

The President of Assiut University expressed his happiness at opening new horizons for cooperation with the Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Foundation represented by the General Secretariat of the Islamic Research Institute, through the organization of several training courses, within the initiative of His Excellency the President of the Republic "A New Beginning for Human Development", which was launched by the state to invest in human capital, through a work program aimed at human development, and work to consolidate the Egyptian identity, through strengthening efforts, coordination and integration between all state entities in various regions of the Republic.

Dr. Hassan Yahya explained that the "Creed and Human Building" program comes within the framework of the scientific work provided by the General Secretariat of the Supreme Committee at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, foremost of which is the preparation of an intellectual map that deals with human building in all its aspects: intellectual, nodular, and social, and the consolidation of values, morals and ideals in society, and discussing the issues of the era from an Islamic perspective in the field of dealing and dialogue with the other.
