Dr. Tarek El-Gammal stated that the aim of the award is to raise the level of services provided by the university’s administrative apparatus. This is done by developing and optimally utilizing its human resources in support of institutional competitiveness and the satisfaction of the university’s customers and employees. Thus, this award spreads a culture of quality and excellence among members of the administrative body, as well as encourages the spirit of creativity among employees to provide their best. The stages of preparation for the award, that were launched in May 2021, began with holding a series of awareness-raising events and workshops, launching a website for the award, and activating the WhatsApp service to receive inquiries. These events included 17 colleges and public administrations. Mr. Muhammad Abbas explained that the ceremony witnessed the university administration honoring the colleges and units that won the university’s awards for quality and excellence. The ceremony included announcing the winning of the faculty of Pharmacy first place in the distinguished website award, the faculty of Nursing in second place, and the faculty of Physical Education in third place.
Regarding the award for the best administrative team, the multimedia unit team at the faculty of Computers and Information won the first place, the museums team in the Anatomy department of the faculty of Veterinary Medicine ranked second, and the electronic portal team (Information Network) ranked third. As for the Distinguished College Award, it went to the faculty of Medicine (first place), the faculty of Engineering (second place), and the faculty of Pharmacy (third place).
