Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, and Professor of Pediatric Heart Surgery at Assiut University, inspected today, Tuesday, September 10, the University Heart Hospital; to follow up on the progress of work, and determine the quality and efficiency of medical services provided to those who frequent the university hospitals, and overcome any obstacles facing the system.
The tour included visiting to the general reception and emergency departments, and cardiothoracic surgery, accompanied by Dr. Essam Abdullah, the director of the hospital and a number of members of the hospital's medical and administrative staff.
The President of Assiut University reassured the health status of the patients, directing a series of additional measures to improve the medical service within the framework of continuous quality. He also reassured the presence of doctors, nursing, and their commitment to the tasks entrusted to them, and continued the administrative discipline within the hospital.
During his tour, Prof. El-Minshawy met with the hospital employees; and discussed the mechanism through which the capacity of the hospital can be increased; to receive more cases, and to end all emergency surgeries, directing the need to redouble the effort; to provide distinguished and urgent medical and therapeutic care to all patients, especially emergency cases hesitant to the hospital, which require rapid and continuous care and follow-up, praising the efforts of all workers in the hospital; to provide the necessary therapeutic service to patients and frequenters.
Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed the keenness of the university administration to raise the level of medical services provided to patients who frequent university hospitals in their various specialties, through its commitment to raising the efficiency of the medical system, and applying the highest quality standards in the provision of medical services. He pointed out that the University Heart Hospital is one of the leading medical edifices in the specialty of heart, at the level, which serves a wide sector of patients with heart and blood vessels diseases, as well as performing heart operations of various types.
