The Innovation Projects Unit at Assiut University holds a meeting of the technical committee to follow up on the innovative and creative work of students

Assiut University witnessed, on Monday, May 26, a meeting of the technical committee of the Innovative Projects Unit held to discuss the innovative and creative works of students, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the University, and the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Mawla, vice-president of the University for education and student affairs, in the presence of Dr. Yasmin Al-kahki, dean of the Faculty of specific education and chairman of the committee, and Miss. Lola Mohamed Atta, managing director of the unit, and with the participation of many committee members.

 

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the university pays great attention to supporting and encouraging student creativity in various forms, based on its belief in the role of art in developing aesthetic sense and enhancing communication between the University and society. He also explained that the university is keen to employ students ' production of artistic and innovative works in beautifying its facilities, reflecting the spirit of innovation among its youth and supporting sustainable development trends.

 

For his side, Dr. Ahmed Abdulmoula explained that the meeting discussed several important proposals, most notably: taking advantage of students 'artworks and handmade creations in decorating colleges and university facilities, both inside and outside the campus, in addition to studying the establishment of a permanent exhibition at the university to display students' artistic products to provide them with opportunities to benefit financially from their projects throughout the study period.

 

The meeting also discussed the establishment of an electronic page under the supervision of the Innovative Projects Unit and the Information Systems Center at the university, to showcase and Market students ' products, where the discussion dealt with financial and legal aspects and mechanisms for implementing those proposals.

 

The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammed Abdul Hakim, vice dean of the College of Fine Arts for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Director General of the General Administration of Student Welfare, Mr. Ihab Abdul Hamid, head of the small enterprises authority in Assiut, Mr. Hisham Baghdadi from the General Administration of Legal Affairs, Mr. Mohammed Bayoumi from financial affairs, Mr. Ihab Atman from the internal audit and governance department, as well as Mr. Hatem Khudair, director general of the central administration for Student Affairs.

 

The committee also includes Dr. Jamal Abdul Nasser Ahmed, general supervisor of the Innovative Projects Unit, Dr. Ali Hussein, director of the Management Information Systems unit, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Alim, legal member of the unit, and engineer Mohammed Hussein, executive supervisor of the unit.
