In order to encourage the university students 'initiatives and develop their volunteer spirit, Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, praised the outstanding efforts made by the social activity Department of the General Administration for student welfare in organizing a celebration on the occasion of Orphan's day, which was held at the student activities Club in cooperation with the higher social committee of the University Students' Union.
The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the University, and under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Mawla, vice president for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Madiha Darwish, general supervisor of student activities, Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Director General of the General Department of student welfare, and prepared and implemented by Ms. Umaima Ibrahim, director of the Department of social activity, with the participation of a team of specialists in the administration, and the university students ' union represented by student Martin Nasser, president of the Union, student Salah al-Nadim, vice president of the Union, student Sharif Walid, Secretary of the higher Social Committee, and student Habiba Mohammed Amin is the assistant of the committee.
In this context, Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the interest in volunteer work and the care of orphans is an essential part of Assiut community university's mission, pointing out that promoting the culture of volunteering among students contributes to the formation of a conscious and responsible generation towards the issues of his community. He added that caring for orphans embodies the values of giving and solidarity, principles that must be instilled in young people. He also praised the great role of the Student Union and all participants in the success of this humanitarian event, which highlights the role of the University in community service.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Abdul Mawla, vice president for education and Student Affairs, pointed out that the organization of the orphan Day celebration reflects the University's commitment to its humanitarian and social role, as well as its educational mission, stressing that these events promote the values of solidarity and solidarity among students and develop a sense of social responsibility. He also stressed that the university strongly supports all activities that consolidate human values and contribute to building a cohesive society.
