Assiut National University launches the program "Construction Engineering and Project Management" for the academic year 2025/2026

As part of its efforts to develop the engineering education system and provide specialized academic programs, Assiut National university announced the availability of the "Construction Engineering and Project Management" Program at the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, starting from the academic year 2025/2026, under the Supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University and Commissioner for the conduct of the work of the National University.

The program is under the academic supervision of Dr. Nobi Mohammed Hassan, vice president of National University for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Khaled Salah, dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Assiut University and supervisor of the faculty at National University.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy explained that the program aims to prepare qualified graduates to work in the fields of construction and project management, by combining basic knowledge of civil engineering and applied skills related to project management. He added that the content of the program is in line with the requirements of the labor market in this sector, and is based on courses related to planning and financing projects, preparing and executing contracts, risk management, following up budgets, and supervising the field implementation of projects.

The duration of study in the program is five academic years (ten semesters), with the possibility of enrolling in summer classes to shorten the duration of study, and each student is assigned an academic supervisor from the faculty to follow up academic progress and provide the required guidance.

The program qualifies graduates to work in construction companies, engineering consulting offices, project management, as well as in design, implementation, planning or safety-related positions, in projects including buildings, concrete and metal structures, roads, irrigation and sewage networks and ports.
