The Board of Directors of Administrative Housing at Assiut University Discusses the Development of Services and Enhancing Safety Standards in Faculty Members' Residences
Under the patronage of Professor El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Adawi, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, held a meeting of the Board of Directors of Administrative Housing, to discuss some topics related to the development of services provided in faculty members' residences, upgrading the residential environment, and enhancing security and safety measures, to achieve the highest levels of quality and comfort for residents.
Professor. Ahmed El-Menshawy stressed that the university is keen to develop the system of services and facilities according to an integrated vision based on sustainable planning, periodic
follow-up, and continuous evaluation of actual needs, in a way that contributes to raising the efficiency of the infrastructure and achieving the optimal use of the available capabilities. He added that specialized boards of directors represent an important pillar in supporting the decision-making process and setting development priorities, in order to enhance the sustainability of performance and improve the level of services provided to the university community.
Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Adawi stressed that Assiut University is keen to develop faculty members' housing, based on its keenness to provide a safe and integrated residential environment, through the implementation of periodic maintenance works, raising the efficiency of facilities, and applying occupational safety and health standards, in a way that contributes to improving the level of services provided and enhancing stability within the residences.
The Council reviewed a plan to implement an awareness campaign targeting the residents of faculty members' residences, to raise awareness of the dangers of electricity and spread the culture of adherence to occupational safety and health measures, in cooperation between the General Directorate of Restrooms and Faculty Members' Residences, the Energy Management Center at the University, the Occupational Safety and Health Department, and the Central Maintenance Department.
The Council also discussed mechanisms to maximize the use of green spaces within the residences, through the expansion of vertical agriculture and the planting of fruit trees, in a way that contributes to improving the urban appearance and the residential environment, and achieving the optimal use of the available spaces.
Within the framework of infrastructure development, the Council approved the installation of bulldozers in front of the stadium in the western faculty members' residences, in addition to completing the barbed wire fence adjacent to the western residences, in order to enhance the efficiency of insurance work and the maintenance of facilities.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Dweeb Hussein Saber, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Legal Advisor to the President of the University, Dr. Sameh Abdel Salam, Financial Advisor to the President of the University, Dr. Essam Khalafallah Khalifa, Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Medicine representing Al-Masaken Al-Gharbiya, Dr. Abdel Wahab Mohamed Ali, Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Agriculture representing Al-Masaken Al-Sharqi, Mr. Ahmed Shawky, Head of the Central Administration for Legal Affairs, Mr. Mustafa Jaber, Director General of the
General Directorate of Resting Facilities, and Eng. Nermeen Murtaji at the General Directorate of Engineering Affairs. and Mr. Hisham Safwat Hassan, Director of the Faculty Housing Department.
