Professor El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, issued several decisions regarding the appointment of new heads of departments in the faculties of medicine, arts, sugar industry technology and integrative industries, in addition to renewing the assignment of a director of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, within the framework of the university's support for the academic and administrative work system, enhancing the efficiency of performance within the various
faculties and units, and benefiting from scientific expertise and competencies in leadership positions.
At the Faculty of Medicine, the decisions included the appointment of Dr. Azza Ahmed Al-Tayeb Issa, Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, as Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics for a period of three years, the appointment of Dr. Hussein Ahmed Al-Amin Hammam, Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, as Chairman of the Department's Council, and the appointment of Dr. Hala Zain Al-Abidin Mohamed Radwan, Professor in the Department of Human Anatomy and Embryology, as Chairman of the Department Board for a period of three years, and the appointment of Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Abdelhadi Metwally, Professor in the Department of Pulmonology, as Chairman of the Department of Pulmonary Diseases until he reaches the legal age of pension.
At the Faculty of Arts, the decision stipulated the appointment of Dr. Diaa El-Din Haider Abdel Hakim, a professor in the Department of Philosophy, as the head of the department's council for a three-year term.
It was also decided at the College of Sugar Industry Technology and Integrated Industries to delegate Dr. Awad Ibrahim Mohamed Sayed, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science, to carry out the work of the Chairman of the Council of the Department of Science and Technology of the Sugar Industry for a period of one year.
In the same context, the President of the University issued a decision to renew the assignment of Dr. Mahmoud Mustafa Mahmoud Mohamed, Professor in the Department of Aquatic Medicine, at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, to carry out the work of the Director of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the University for a period of one year.
Professor. Ahmed El-Menshawy congratulated the leaders included in the decisions, wishing them continued success in performing their duties, stressing that the university is keen to empower academic and administrative competencies, in a way that contributes to developing institutional performance, improving the quality of the educational and research process, and achieving the university's goals in academic and research excellence.
