Prof. El-Minshawy discusses the work plan to develop and modernize university information systems at Assiut University

Prof. El-Minshawy: Developing a program to mechanize the management of student affairs and providing an integrated database

Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, and Commissioner for the Conduct of the Business of Assiut Al-Ahliya University discussed in a virtual meeting via the Internet today, with the work officials of the Information and Communication Technology Center, Mansoura University; the development and modernization of the university information systems at Assiut University, under the supervision of Dr. Nobi Mohammed Hassan, Vice President of Al-Ahliyya University for Academic Affairs.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Hassan Al-Hawari, Advisor to the President of the University for University Information Systems Affairs and Decision Support, Dr. Duaib Saber, Legal Advisor to the President of the University, Dr. Tariq Kamal, Supervisor of the Information Center at Assiut Al-Ahliyya University, Professor Mustafa Hassan, Secretary of Al-Ahliyya University, and academic and administrative work leaders of Assiut Al-Ahliya University.

Prof. El-Minshawy explained that the presentation presented by the Information and Communication Technology Center at Mansoura University was listened to, and an advanced electronic program was presented to serve Assiut Al-Ahliyut University and developed a framework for the university information system aimed at automating the work system of the Department of Student Affairs, and providing an integrated database; to store and manage student data, academic history records, registration of study materials, as well as managing exam work, monitoring students' grades and control work; to meet the advanced educational needs, and to automate all sectors of work at Al-Assiut Al-Ahliyya University.

Prof. El-Minshawy explained that Assiut Al-Ahliya University seeks to take several steps and procedures in cooperation with institutions and scientific bodies to develop the work system and improve the level of services provided by it, stressing the need to accelerate the pace to achieve the direction towards a comprehensive digital transformation path in all fields of administrative and academic work at Assiut Al-Ahliya University, while stating the successful experience provided by Assiut State University in the field of digitization of work in most administrative and educational fields; in its various sectors.

Dr. Nubi Mohammed Hassan praised the keenness of the political leadership to encourage all state institutions to take the necessary measures to apply digital transformation comprehensively, which is what Assiut Al-Ahliyya University sought to adhere to; in what was applied from the procedures of coordination and the admission of new students, all stages of which were conducted electronically; to achieve the maximum degrees of accuracy and transparency, and the differentiation between students was made based on total only; which succeeded in distributing the available opportunities fairly and impartially despite the intensity of advanced students.
