University Council decision to establish the University Children's Hospital on was taken in July 1992.

• Assiut University Administration took the necessary measures towards allocating land and providing the necessary credits to establish the hospital.

• The University Children's Hospital was established on an area of 7000 square meters, and it is located in the opposite side of the main university hospital from the northwest, and it consists of a basement, floors, and five repetitive upper floors, with a college capacity exceeding 700 beds including all medical specializations in the field of pediatric medicine and surgery, which is the first specialized hospital Pediatrics in Upper Egypt
