Dr. Ahmed Al-Manshawi, Vice President of Assiut University for Graduate Affairs and Research, launched the first scientific day of the Office of International Academic Scientific Classification, which is held in the rehab of Asyut University under the auspices of Dr. Tarek Al-Jamal, President of the University, and in the presence of Dr. Omar Mahmoud Shaaban, Director of the Office Dr. Mohammed Raed, Regional Director of Research Intelligence at Elsevier, Dr. Amr Abu Al-Dahab, Regional Director for Africa at Elsevier, and a group of deans and agents of colleges and a group of faculty members, researchers and administrative leaders at the University.
In his opening speech, Dr. Ahmed Al Manshawi stressed the importance of institutional work and the synergy of the various university sectors in working to improve the ranking of Asyut University in international classifications, as well as the importance of these meetings in raising awareness of the international classification and mechanisms for selecting universities within the international classifications, which depend on approved criteria to measure the efficiency and quality of universities, the most important of which is the quality of education, and the quality of the faculty, and the outputs and size of the institution.
Dr. Omar Mamdouh Shaaban pointed out that the office is working to improve the university's ranking in international classifications by improving the level of performance by developing a strategic development plan to raise the academic level of the university and work to provide an effective platform for all these classifications, and work to build university cadres capable of carrying out the tasks of classification and international academic accreditation as well as collecting and analyzing important data about the university and the criteria of academic classification of universities, and introducing them or sending them to international classification bodies supporting documents It also aims to spread and support the culture of global classifications of universities within Assiut University in a way that enhances its position in the international rankings.
Dr. Yamina Atef, rapporteur of the scientific day, stated that today included two scientific sessions, the first chaired by Dr. Intisar Younis, Dr. Yusuf Saleh, Dr. Hassan Rifaat and Dr. Jaber Mujahid, and revolved around a number of topics are presented by the Elsifer Authority and the databases of Scobs and Seifel, and an analytical presentation of the site of Assiut University in international classifications, weaknesses and strength in the research performance of Assiut University, encouraging honest scientific research and raising the university's classification two sides of the same coin, in which Dr. Mohammed Raed and Dr. Amr Abu Al-Dahab lectured. Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Alim is director of the university's central scientific ethics committee.
While the second session was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Ezzat Abdel Moneim, Dr. Ihab Fawzi, Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Muti and Dr. Jamal Badr, the first two lectures included the title of Assiut University in the various international classifications of Dr. Ahmed Al-Manshawi, and the second entitled Electronic Identity of the faculty member of Dr. Noha Osman, Director of the Office of Scientific Documentation at the Faculty of Medicine
