Aims:

The CTLR aims at:

• Translating scientific, literary, and cultural material and publications according to the demand of the university or the community.
• Planning for training student and freelance translators to achieve and promote the efficiency of translators.
• Planning to identify and fulfill the university demand for translated material through regular and constant contact with the different faculties and institutions.
• Suggesting a general policy for translation in Assiut University to explore the most recent trends and material to be translated.
• Establishing links to communicate the center with other translation departments, centers, and institutes in Egyptian Universities and aboard.
• Arranging for seminars and symposiums to discuss and exchange experiences with translation professionals and experts to develop an awareness of the role of translation as a vital branch of knowledge in achieving cultural and intellectual renaissance.
• Announcing the center's activities to the academic mediums inside the country and abroad.
• Publishing periodical bulletins to make faculty members aware of the most recent publications in the different fields and specializations.
