The Information Technology Institute ITI is holding training courses for the final year students of electrical engineering department, they include interactive skills , programming and IT( information technology).

Thirty students from the final year of electrical department have been nominated to attend the training scholarship offered by Software Engineering Competence Center SECC.

Cooperation between the Electrical Engineering Department and the Innovation Support Center in the smart village (TIEC) is taking place to make some training courses that will help in the graduation projects.These coureses will be held in the smart village in the mid-year vacation (january 2013)

Academy of Scientific Research and Technology is offering initiatives for faculty of engineering and faculty of science projects and also the master and PhD scholarships that were obtained from different industries to support the research priorities that serve industry and community.

The libraray committee of the faculty accepted the book donation offered by ProfessorMuhammad Ragae El-tahlawy- tenured professor in mining and metallurgicalengineering department- which includes nine books and will be put in the departments library

The Architectural Engineering Department has approved to form a jury committee to evaluate the thesis proposed by eng Nermin ezz El-Din Saber Soliman. The title of the thesis is: "Towards a future Vision for A sustainable Urban Development Strategy in the Egyptian City".(Damietta project) The jury committee are as follows: Professor: Mohannad Muhammad El-Agamy ( urban planning professor-Minia University ) Professor: Esam El-din Kamal Mahrous (urban planning professor and the head of architectural engineering department-Minia University ) Professor: Muhammad Azmy Ahmad Musa ( tenured professor- faculty of engineering Assuit University ) Dr. Nady Mustafa Abd-El Karim ( assistant professor- faculty of engineering Assuit University )
