Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, hold a meeting to follow up on the executive plan of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research 2030, and follow up on the presidential commissions and initiatives; technically, in the field, and especially: alliance and development, and study in Egypt, and the development of hospitals, the innovation and entrepreneurship system and its centers, and the training and rehabilitation system for the labor market and its centers, in the presence of Prof. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Al-Aleem, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

The meeting was attended by the advisors of the President of the University: Dr. Hassan Al-Hawari, Advisor to the President for University Information Systems Affairs and Decision Support, Dr. Duwaib Saber, Legal Advisor to the President of the University, Dr. Abdul Rahman Haider, Advisor to the President for Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Adawi, Advisor to the President for Alumni Affairs, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Dr. Mohammed Helmy Al-Hafnawi, Engineering Advisor to the President of the University, Dr. Amani Sharif, Advisor to the President for Strategic Planning and Crisis Management, Dr. Rehab Al-Dakhli, Media Advisor to the President of the University, and Mr. Ahmed Al-Baroudi, Head of the Technical Secretariat of the Office of Consulting and Decision Support.

Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, stressed the importance of the national strategy for higher education and scientific research, as a roadmap for development and achieving the sustainable development goals (Egypt Vision 2030), through seven principles, which crystallized the objectives of the strategy, namely (integration, overlapping disciplines, communication, effective participation, sustainability, international reference, innovation and entrepreneurship).

The meeting reviewed the measures taken by Assiut University to develop its innovation and entrepreneurship system, by expanding the provision of training programs to spread the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, qualify students for the labor market, and provide guidance to pioneers and innovators.

The meeting included reviewing the university's position on developing the educational system and developing educational programs that keep pace with the labor market, in addition to reviewing the university's efforts to promote scientific research and encourage international publishing, and the comprehensive digital transformation process witnessed by the university to improve the services it provides to carry out its educational, research and community mission, and the adoption of a smart educational platform that includes an integrated system for educational materials, and the development of programs in interdisciplines to keep pace with the functions of the future.

The meeting was also reviewed, a summary of the activities and achievements of Assiut University in light of the executive plan of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research 2023, to attract expatriate students within the "I study in Egypt" initiative; through marketing the university and its educational programs, and preparing introductory guides for expatriates that include the necessary information to organize their study  at the university, and communicating with university graduates to be ambassadors of the university in their country, with the expansion of the distance study system, and the constant pursuit of upgrading the university's position in the global university rankings.

The meeting discussed what has been implemented within the framework of an "alliance and development"; where Assiut University has taken many serious steps to achieve the integration of its educational and research plan; with the developmental and community repercussions, and in light of this trend, many events were launched, which are in line with achieving economic and academic development in the central region of the Upper Egypt, and in implementation of the terms and asexes of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, in addition to concluding many joint memorandums of understanding with major institutions.

The meeting pointed to the university's efforts in light of the implementation of the strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education; to enhance communication with innovative societies and to discover and support innovators from Egyptian universities, and to adopt modern learning methods, based on scientific projects, and self-learning; as one of the pillars of sustainable development in the new republic, with the participation of the university sectors and centers, and business incubators, and their keenness to adopt these new methods.

The meeting dealt with the statement of achievements in university hospitals, where the university carried out development and renovation work in university hospitals; It was based in its entirety on the application of advanced methods, which depend on the concepts of sustainability and green environment in design, implementation and operation; to become environmentally friendly hospitals, and conform to the highest medical specifications.

The meeting also dealt with the mechanisms implemented by the university in the axis of the training and rehabilitation system for the labor market and its centers; where the university was keen to support the skills of its students, raise the capabilities of its graduates, help in their employment, and provide them with new skills; qualifying them to join the labor market, and the launch of many events aimed at creating job opportunities for youth, training and rehabilitation inside Assiut governorate and beyond, for continuous preparation for the Professional future.
