Pr. Ahmed Al-Menshawi, President of Assuit University, emphasized that the university has made a comprehensive plan to carry out maintenance work for the buildings of the University City, which is to be completed during the summer vacation. This plan includes: completing the repair and construction of buildings, checking furniture and fire systems, and making sure that professional safety equipment is available and ready to use in all the buildings of the university in order to maintain the safety of the students and university facilities and equipment for the new academic year 2023/2024.
Prof. Ahmed Abd El-Moula, University Vice-President for Education and Student Affairs, made an inspection tour of the University Cities Sector, which included: housing unit (b) and luxury housing unit (2), building (W) to ensure that the development, maintenance and repair work is carried out properly in preparation for the next academic year 2023/2024.
During the inspection tour he was accompanied by Mr. Mahmoud Antar, general manager of the University Cities; Mr, Emad Mohamed Sayed, manager of the University City for Male Students; Mr. Mohamed Ezzat, deputy manager of the University City; Mr. Alaa Khalaf, manager of the University City maintenance Administration; Mr. Hany Abdel-Aziz, head of the University City Carpentry Unit; Mr. Mahmoud Farghaly, head of housing unit (b); Mr. Abdel-Lateef Hassan, head of luxury housing unit (2), building (W); Mr. Ashraf Al-Tobgy, manager of the University City Security Administration; and a number of workers, supervisors of housing units and construction contractors in charge of the repair and maintenance work of the University Cities.
Prof. Ahmed Abd El-Moula stressed the university administration’s keenness to provide students with all conveniences and best services during their stay in the University City so as to help them succeed and achieve excellence. He gave instructions to finish the repair work of the city buildings, repair damaged furniture in students’ bedrooms, provide comfort and keep students’ personal belongings, develop restaurant services offered by the university to students residing in the University Cities so as to provide them with all their ready-to-eat meals needs rather than making them buy some of their food needs from outside the University City.
