The president of Assiut University receives Dr. Prakash Kumar, director of the Indian Cultural Center to enhance cultural and academic cooperation 

Dr. El-Minshawy: Egyptian-Indian relations are well-established and have deep cultural dimensions

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, received on Wednesday, February 26, Dr. Prakash Kumar Chowdhury, cultural advisor and director of the Indian Cultural Center in Cairo, and his accompanying delegation, as part of their cultural visit to the university to participate in the activities of the "Indian Cultural Day", organized by the General Department of scientific and cultural relations at the University, in support of the strong cooperation ties between the University and the state of India, and to introduce Indian culture and folklore.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Abdul Mawla, vice president of the University for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Rahab Al-Dakhli, media advisor to the president of the University, Mr. Mohammed Saeed, coordinator of cultural programs at the embassy of India, and Ms. Inji Shohdi, Assistant Coordinator of cultural programs at the embassy of India.

The meeting discussed supporting aspects of cooperation between the two sides in various educational and cultural fields, emphasizing the role of educational institutions in opening new horizons for learning from other cultures, and benefiting from the diverse experiences of different countries.

The president of Assiut University welcomed Dr. Prakash Kumar and his accompanying delegation, appreciating their important visit to the University and their participation in the activities of this valuable cultural event, which reflects the depth of Egyptian-Indian diplomatic relations and adds new dimensions to the cultural ties between the two countries. He pointed to the great boom witnessed by Assiut University, which contributes to achieving a real educational renaissance, and enhancing student support in all fields related to the educational and research system.

Dr. El-Minshawy stressed that Assiut University has capabilities comparable to the most prestigious international universities, thanks to its diverse scientific specialties, its leading medical position, and its research and service excellence, which has made it rise to the ranks of distinguished universities regionally and internationally. He also stressed the University's continuous keenness to develop cultural awareness among students and integrate them into various academic and educational events.

For his side, Dr. Prakash Kumar expressed his admiration for the hospitality of Assiut University and the warm reception, stressing that this visit strengthens the frameworks of cultural cooperation between Egypt and India, and contributes to closer relations between the two peoples through cultural rapprochement and Common Customs and traditions.

The meeting was attended by the organizers of the events of the Indian Cultural Day, namely: Ms. Asma Ibrahim Mahmoud, Director General of the General Department of scientific and Cultural Relations, Mr. Hossam Omar, Director of the Department of cultural conventions and conferences, and Ms. Amira Jalal Al- Gharbli from the Department of cultural conventions and conferences.
