Assiut University Faculty of Nursing celebrates International Women's Day with 'Pink Camp'… A full day to support her health and beauty. Under the sponsorship of Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy – University President,

 

and Professor Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Ali Adawy – Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and generously sponsored by Professor Dr. Fatma Roshdy Mohamed – Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, and implemented by Professor Dr. Nahed Shoukry Abou El-Magd – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty of Nursing organized a special celebration for International Women's Day in the form of a comprehensive awareness camp called 'Pink Camp'. The event saw distinguished attendance from: Professor Dr. Amani El-Sherif – Advisor to the University President for Strategic Planning Affairs, Professor Dr. Nahla Abdel-Badie – Member of the National Council for Women, coordinated by Dr. Aya Mostafa – Lecturer in Maternal and Neonatal Health Nursing, and presented by Dr. Riham – Assistant Lecturer in Community Health Nursing. The program began with a scientific start with opening words from the Dean of the Faculty and the vice deans, discussing the role of women and the importance of supporting them and caring for their health and beauty. The interactive camp activities then moved outside the hall, where the camp activities varied to include:

General Women’s Health Camp

Measuring blood pressure and sugar – awareness about breast cancer and anemia – practical training on self-examination of the breast

Private Zone Camp

Individual discussions about polycystic ovary syndrome and menstrual disorders

Supervised by Dr. Reda Rifai

Ideal Weight Camp

Correcting misconceptions – healthy nutrition tips – introduction to slimming products

Supervised by Dr. Samia Shawkat Abu El-Majd

Healthy Beauty Camp

Tips to maintain skin beauty – the importance of water, vitamins, and nutrition

Supervised by Prof. Marzouka Abdel Aziz and Dr. Naglaa Al-Rashidi
