When you enter the first year, we start with you with lectures to introduce an orientation to pharmacy as a simple and interesting entry gate to studying pharmacy in general., as well pharmaceutical calculations. The second semester of the first year deals with specific topics in physical pharmacy, such as The second Semester of the first year deals with specific topics of physical pharmacy, including states of matter, phase equilibrium, solutions of electrolytes and non-electrolytes, , adsorption, types of disperse systems and solubility, kinetics, complexation, dissolution, and diffusion

Going into your second year, work began on descriptions of various dosage forms (liquid, solid or semisolid). Dosage forms as powders, emulsions, suspensions and colloids are studied in more details, surfactants, buffers, isotonicity and different types of incompatibilities.

In the second semester, ointments, creams gels dermal and rectal delivery systems, cosmetics.

• You will complete the study of dosage formulation in the first semester of the third year. Contains the preformulation studies, tablets and capsules and drug stability, micromeretics.

The second semester of the third year deals with topics such parenteral and ophthalmic drug delivery as well as microencapsulation, pharmaceutical aerosols. Also, students will study basics of biopharmaceuitcs and pharmacokinetics. Topics include drug absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination •

By the arrival of the fourth year, the first semester, you will begin to get acquainted with the laws of pharmacy and the ethics of scientific research.

• In the fifth year, students study advanced drug delivery systems , controlled drug delivery systems and bioadhesion.

• The department offers elective courses covering the basics of drug targeting, pharmaceutical nanotechnology, clinical pharmaceutics and cosmetics.
