Research Abstract

The different between Complete Blood Count (C.B.C) and Blood Glucose after shallow 10m
and deep 30m in SCUBA Diving Training were investigated on 10 healthy sport adventure
recreational Scuba Divers male age 21-23 year .C.B.C and Blood Glucose were measured by
hematology analyzers and Digital Blood Glucose Meter at 5-10 min pre-dive, and immediately
post-dive in blood analysis labor in south Sinai in Egypt before and after 10m for 30 min
Actual bottom time (ABT), and after 30m shore Diving for 18 actual bottom time (ABT) All
dive from 30-40min total bottom time (TBT). Results: Were describe the significant between
CBC variables pre-post diving ; Hemoglobin (Hgb) g/dL pre and post 10m diving (13.7 ±
1.03, 13.05 ± 1.0), (Hgb) g/dL pre and post 30m diving (14.2 ± 0.94, 13.5± 1.02), Red blood
cell (RBC) pre and post 10m diving (4.8 ± 0.36 , 4.16 ± 0), (RBC) pre and post 30m diving
(4.9 ± 0.33, 4.8± 0.45), Mean corpuscular volume (MCV) fL pre and post 10m diving (90.8 ±
6.8, 86.1 ± 6.6), (MCV) fL pre and post 30m diving (93.6 ± 6.1, 89.1 ± 6.8), Mean corpuscular
hemoglobin (MCH) pg pre and post 10m diving (28.8 ± 2.1, 27.3 ± 2.1), (MCH) pg pre and
post 30m diving (29.7 ± 1.9, 28.3 ± 2.1), Mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration
(MCHC) g/dL pre and post 10m diving (33.025 ± 2.4, 31.2 ± 2.4), (MCHC) g/dL pre and post
30m diving (34.05 ± 2.26, 32.37 ± 2.43), Total Leucocytes count ul pre and post 10m diving
(5.05 ± 1.3, 5.5 ± 1.4),pre and post 30m diving (6.1 ± 1.41, 6.2 ± 1.38), Platelet /uL pre and
post 10m diving (227.5 ± 9, 233.7 ± 23.2), pre and post 30m diving (230 ± 16.9, 237.5 ±19.5),
Blood Glucose between pre and post 10m diving (100.5 ±10.4, 87.5 ± 5.31) and pre and post
30m diving (92.5 ± 7.12 , 82.2 ± 76). Conclusions: Similar pre- to post-dive reductions in
blood glucose and change in C.B.C were seen with both 10m and 30m dives. 10m diving is
useful and healthy than 30m. Divers blood Glucose my reduce at 10m diving because diver
used continuously training, HI my reduce at 30m diving. That means can continual research
for the treatment diabetes in underwater field, also 10m safely than 30m for recreation
SCUBA Divers. We can manage C.B.C measurements to avoid anemia for divers, and manage
Glucose to avoid hypoglycemia or low blood sugar during routine recreational dives under
ordinary environmental conditions and low risk decompression profiles.
