Yesterday began the events of the People's Week at Assiut University, held under the patronage of Dr. Khalid Abdul Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and in the presence of General Gamal El Din governor of Assiut and Dr. Tariq Al Jamal, Rector, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama Secretary General of the Union of Arab universities, Dr. Taya Abdul Latif Advisor Minister of Education for student activities, Dr. Ahmed Jaaam, former president of Assiut University, Mohamed Ali, Ambassador of the State of Yemen, General Arkan Harb Ayman Naim, chief of Staff of the Southern military zone, Rasha Kamal Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for Student Activities Affairs and a number of religious and executive leaders And popular members of the House of Representatives. Dr. Shehata Gharib Shlagami, vice president of Assiut University for Education and Students Affairs, general supervisor of the Forum and Dr. Maha Ghanem, Vice president for community service and Environment development, and members of Assiut University Council said that the forum witnessed a rally of representatives of more than 12 Egyptian universities and students from Some 30 Arab and foreign countries along with Egyptian students from Assiut University and participating Egyptian universities.
