Seminar on Crises and Disasters in Government Buildings

The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty of Sports Sciences organized an awareness seminar for faculty staff today, Sunday, September 13, 2026. Held in collaboration with the University’s Occupational Safety and Health Department, the event took place under the umbrella of the "Your Safety First" initiative.

The seminar was distinguished by the presence of key figures and offered significant academic and organizational value. Attendees included Prof. Dr. Ahmed Khodary, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Dr. Gamal Mohamed Ali, former Dean of the Faculty; and Mr. Hamdy El-Adawy, Secretary of the Faculty.

The sessions were led by a distinguished group of leaders and specialists, most notably Prof. Dr. Mohamed Adawy, University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Baset, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education and Supervisor of the University’s Occupational Safety and Health Department; and Major General Ibrahim Anous, Advisor to the University President for Security Affairs.

Titled "Crises and Disasters in Government Buildings," the awareness sessions addressed concepts of risk management, safe evacuation plans, and mechanisms for immediate and rapid response to emergencies. They also focused on promoting correct behaviors to minimize losses and fostering a culture of occupational safety and health within educational and administrative facilities. The seminars included open dialogue and discussion with staff and attendees, all of whom commended the importance of such events in enhancing readiness and preparedness to handle emergencies efficiently and competently.
