Important Announcement: Uniform for Students of the Faculty of Sports Science, Assiut University

As the new academic year approaches, the Faculty of Sports Science at Assiut University extends a warm welcome to all its students—both new and returning. We would like to remind our valued students of the required uniform for each academic year level, as follows:

👈 First Year: Orange T-shirt + Light blue shorts

👈 Second Year: Maroon T-shirt + Black shorts

👈 Third Year: Blue T-shirt + Black shorts

👈 Fourth Year: Gray T-shirt + Black shorts

In addition to:

👟 Lightweight sports shoes (black or gray) for all levels.

🧦 White socks for all levels.

👤 Navy blue or black tracksuit for all levels.

👩 #Note_for_Female_Students: Female students across all levels must wear black sports trousers, while adhering to the rest of the approved uniform.

📌 #Important_Notice: The uniforms for the Second and Fourth-Year levels will be distributed by the Faculty at the start of the academic year.

Announcement of Second-Round Postgraduate Examinations

 

The second-round examination schedules for Egyptian postgraduate students for the 2025–2026 academic year have been approved.

Important Announcement Regarding Graduate Studies

The Faculty of Sports Science at Assiut University announces the opening of online applications for postgraduate programs for the 2026/2027 academic year. Applications will be accepted from September 1, 2026, to September 23, 2026, subject to the following terms and conditions:

🔹 First: General Diploma Program

👨‍🎓 Application Requirements:

1️⃣ Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from an Egyptian university.

2️⃣ Obtain approval from the employer (if the applicant is currently employed).

3️⃣ Submit an enrollment application using the forms provided by the Faculty’s Postgraduate Studies Department (free of charge).

4️⃣ Maintain a minimum lecture attendance rate of 75% to be eligible for the exam.

5️⃣ The student must submit enrollment documents in person.

💳 Tuition Fees: 2,350 EGP.

🔹 Second: Master’s Degree Program

📑 Required Documents:

📌 Original certificates (Degree/Qualification – Diploma – Grade transcripts).

📌 Original birth certificate (computer-generated/digital copy).

📌 Military service status (for males).

📌 Four (4) personal photos.

📌 Certificate confirming the absence of disciplinary sanctions.

📌 Employment status statement + employer approval stamped with the official state seal.

📌 Copy of National ID card (or passport for international students).

📌 Declaration of non-employment in any government or private sector entity.

💳 Tuition Fees: 4,350 EGP.

🔹 Third: PhD Program

📚 Requirements and Documents:

✅ Original certificates (Bachelor’s – Diploma – Master’s).

✅ Original birth certificate (computer-generated/digital copy). ✅ Copy of the appointment decree as an Assistant Lecturer (supporting academic staff) at the faculty.

✅ Military service status (for males).

✅ Four (4) personal photos.

✅ Certificate confirming the absence of disciplinary sanctions.

✅ Employment status statement + employer’s approval (stamped with the official Republic seal).

✅ Copy of National ID card (or passport for non-nationals).

✅ Declaration of non-employment in any government or private sector entity.

💳 Tuition fees: 5,350 EGP.

It has been decided to review the grievances of the third-year students on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM, in the office of Prof. Dr. Ayman Abdo, Head of the Department of Curricula and Physical Education Teaching Methods.

Honoring the College Library Staff

 
In recognition of staff efforts and to encourage excellence, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Emad Samir (Dean of the Faculty)—and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Yasser Hassan (Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs) and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Khodary (Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research)—an honoring ceremony was held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. The event honored the staff of the Faculty Library in appreciation of their outstanding efforts, which contributed to the library achieving an "Excellent" rating (90%) and the Faculty securing third place at the university level.

This honor acknowledges the dedication and hard work of the library staff, as well as their outstanding performance, which reflects their commitment to elevating work standards and achieving optimal results. We wish them continued success and excellence.

The Faculty administration also extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to Prof. Dr. Ahmed Khodary (Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research) for his outstanding efforts and continuous follow-up, which played a pivotal role in realizing this achievement.

Furthermore, sincere thanks and appreciation are extended to Prof. Dr. Mostafa El-Sebaie (Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development); Prof. Dr. Ahmed Qotb (Professor in the Department of Sports Management and Recreation and member of the Library Committee); all members of the preparation and reception committee for the judging panel; and the library administration—led by Mr. Naeem Zakhari (Faculty Library Director)—for their sincere efforts, which had a profound impact on presenting the Faculty in an exemplary manner and achieving this success. Sincere thanks and appreciation go to everyone who contributed to this success. Visit by the Supreme Council of Universities Committee and the Smooth Conduct of 2026 Aptitude Tests

 

Today, the Faculty of Sports Science at Assiut University received a delegation representing the Supreme Council of Universities. The visit was part of a field review of the aptitude tests for prospective students applying for the 2026/2027 academic year, aimed at ensuring the smooth conduct of the exams and adherence to approved regulations and standards.

The delegation was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Dr. Yasser Hassan, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Dr. Ahmed Khodary, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; and Prof. Dr. Mostafa El-Sebaie, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, alongside faculty members and the organizing committees.

During the visit, the delegation inspected the testing venues and reviewed operational procedures, the level of organization, and the measures taken to ensure a suitable environment for students—thereby upholding the principles of equal opportunity and transparency throughout the testing process.

The delegation expressed its appreciation for the excellent preparation, organization, and orderly workflow, as well as the strict adherence to the regulations governing the aptitude tests. They commended the efforts of the faculty administration and organizing committees in conducting the exams in a manner befitting Assiut University.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the Faculty, emphasized that the Faculty continues to mobilize all its resources to ensure the aptitude tests are conducted optimally. This effort aligns with the directives of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, University President, and reflects the Faculty's commitment to providing an environment that enables students to take the exams with ease and convenience. This visit is part of the ongoing monitoring conducted by the Supreme Council of Universities to assess the smooth conduct of aptitude tests across various faculties and to ensure the application of approved standards, thereby guaranteeing the highest levels of quality and transparency.
