A seminar on good practices for faculty members and their relationship to learning outcomes (College Quality Assurance Unit)

In support of and to develop the educational process, and under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of the University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Emad Samir Mahmoud, Dean of the College, and Professor Dr. Yasser Hassan Hamed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the College's Quality Assurance Unit organized a distinguished scientific seminar today, Thursday, April 30, 2026, entitled "Good Practices for Faculty Members and Their Relationship to Learning Outcomes."

The seminar was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Ahmed Khodary, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and Professor Dr. Mustafa El-Sebaei, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, as well as fruitful interaction from faculty members and teaching assistants, and active participation from students. A constructive academic discussion ensued regarding best modern teaching practices and their application to achieve effective learning outcomes that align with quality standards and academic accreditation. The seminar was distinguished by valuable contributions from faculty members and students, reflecting a diversity of experiences and a richness of discussion.

The seminar addressed several important themes, including strategies for improving learning outcomes, the role of faculty members in developing the educational process, and the presentation of practical examples from the academic field, which facilitated the exchange of expertise among attendees. The seminar was held under the supervision of Professor Dr. Tariq Mohammed Abdel Aziz, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit, and Assistant Professor Dr. Bassam El-Sayed Mohammed, Deputy Director of the Quality Assurance Unit. They emphasized the importance of continuing such events, which contribute to spreading a culture of quality and enhancing academic performance within the college.

At the conclusion of the seminar, following valuable input from faculty members and students, Professor Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the College, stressed the necessity of continuing to adopt modern teaching practices and working to develop the capabilities of faculty members to achieve excellence in the educational process and contribute to preparing graduates capable of meeting the demands of the job market.
