A brief overview of Assiut Veterinary Medical Journal

• The Assiut Veterinary Medical Journal, which is affiliated with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Assiut University, publishes scientific research in the field of veterinary medical sciences and sciences closely related to this specialty.

• The Assiut Veterinary Medical Journal came into existence in 1974 with the publication  of its first issue in this year, which included 26 researches, and one issue of the journal remained published annually until 1979, and since 1980, the journal began to issue two issues annually and continued to do so until 1984.

•  Due to the steady increase in the number of papers received in the journal, whether from inside or outside the Arab Republic of Egypt, the editorial board of the journal had to make its decision to issue three issues annually every  four months from 1985 to 1989.
• Whereas the journal occupies a prominent place among its counterparts in scientific journals at the level of the Republic, which had the greatest impact on increasing the number of scientific researches received in the journal, and this resulted in an increase in the issue of the journal to become four issues per year, namely January, April, July and October, starting from 1990 until now, and each issue includes approximately 25 researches, and in the same year, the journal obtained its international numbering ISSN 1012-5973.

• Since the Assiut Veterinary Medical Journal has taken upon itself the responsibility of publishing distinguished scientific research in the field of veterinary medical sciences, some scientific journals specialized in publishing scientific research abstracts globally publish the research summaries published in the journal, which leads to the spread of these researches globally and benefiting from them.
•  Believing in its leading role in publishing everything new in the field of scientific research, the journal also publishes the summaries of master's and doctoral theses that were awarded by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Assiut University, in the January issue of each year.

• The scientific  journal unit at the faculty and the editorial board of the journal spare no effort in developing the Assiut Veterinary Medical Journal to keep pace with scientific and technological progress by working to update the capabilities of the journal to issue its issues in a decent form, as the journal is distributed to 136 scientific bodies represented by universities and scientific research centers in various countries of the world, including 56 in foreign countries, 21 in Arab countries, 59 scientific bodies inside the Arab Republic of Egypt, and 10 for the General Authority of the National Library and Documents. The Ministry of Culture, in addition to 38 volumes distributed within Assiut University to the various faculties and departments of the university, in addition to the participating individuals.

• Within the framework of the keenness of the faculty administration to move towards digital transformation in accordance with the strategy of the university and the Egyptian state and its vision 2030, the journal has been transformed from the paper system to the online system with its distinctive website Assiut Veterinary Medical Journal and its international numbering 314-5226  Online ISSN to become Print ISSN1012-5973   - Online ISSN2314-5226
•  The Assiut Veterinary Medical Journal hopes that it has fulfilled the mission for which it was established in order to publish everything new in scientific research, wishing the researchers more progress and progress.
